Here are my rankings for the 2011 season, updated for summer attrition. Rank is my predicted AP ranking at the conclusion of the regular season (prior to conference championship games). Usually, between 30 and 35 teams receive votes in the AP Poll, so “rankings” beyond that are just an expectation of season record, with priority given to BCS schools.
Power is my preseason power ranking. Power is my predicted score margin against an average team (Power = 0.0) on a neutral field. P Rank is numerical power rank.
Schedule is a strength of schedule rating. It is the average of opponents’ power ratings with home field advantage factored into it. S Rank is the numerical ranking of strength of schedule.
Again, statistics show no respect for the Cyclones.
